SATELLITE SLERMPY, the second solo album by slermpy danger fishkins. This album has been a 6 month long process with many changes from the original idea. I made 40 songs for this album (all one minute.) Only 23 survived… at first this album was gonna be called “STUPID” because that was a name I frequently called myself at the time. I also wanted to call it “STUPID” because I made all these good ass songs but they’re only a minute long. Then I tried to stop being so negative on my self. So I thought to myself that if I should get better at self help, then I should change the name of the album. So I thought about it for a couple of days and named the album “PONDER” (before the meme came out). I called it “PONDER” because I was pondering the idea of if I was really stupid or not. But that name did not last long… because I hit up my homie Jan to do some adlibs for the album because I was going for a theme of people adlibing on my album. (Pink navel was the first to contribute and that’s what gave me the idea.) So Jan sent me back their recordings and they talked an awful lot about slermpy being in the satellites (as you can hear throughout the album). At this time I wasn’t rocking with the name “PONDER” because the meme was happening and I was digging the idea of a space themed album because roadman beats told me the album cover looked like a space ship. So that’s how the final name “SATELLITE SLERMPY” came to be. I had lots of fun working on this project. This album also switched my style a bit more… Exaggerating style. But I love it!! I have been working on this album since July (before my first album came out). And it’s funny because I am also working on my next album before this one is out. Funny how cycles work…
